Position Summary

Consistent with BBB Industries, LLC Finance organization’s “CASH” model, individuals considered for this position must demonstrate specific experience in Controllership, Analysis, and Services with an unblemished commitment to Honesty/integrity. This specific role will report directly to the Accounting Manager and provide tax accounting, accounting research, and other analysis for the department. In this capacity, the individual will perform all aspects of Corporate Accounting requirement including month-end closing, filing of various state and federal tax returns in conjunction with the Manager and third party accounting firm, develop and maintain USGAAP accounting policies and procedures, and assist with other ad hoc accounting / tax projects.    

Job Duties

The Accounting Analyst is part of the Corporate Controller’s team and is expected to work with Operations Finance, FP&A, Sales Finance, Site Controllers and others in performing all aspects of the job including month-end close, accounting research, assisting with year-end audit, tax filing/compliance, and other special projects/initiatives as required.

Accounting / Reporting

  • Participate in the monthly closing process ensuring work requirements are completed in a thorough, accurate and timely manner
    • Prepare monthly analysis and journal entries related to designated accounts and as required
    • Perform relevant and efficient account reconciliations and related analysis as assigned
    • Conduct balance sheet reviews on significant accounts, and integrate related findings and actions into financial closing and forecasting processes
  • Assist the Accounting Manager and Mexico Controller on Mexico ledger consolidation, analysis, and reporting
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations
  • Proactively identify and address accounting and control issues
  • Understand and be able to defend the accounting rationale for all significant GL accounts in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Communicate identified financial issues proactively to Accounting Manager


  • Perform quarterly accrual review and prepare tax provision
  • Research and prepare work papers for various book/tax differences
  • Prepare various personal property tax returns
  • Prepare other various tax filings: Sales and Use Tax, Annual Reports, Business License Renewals, GST, QST
  • Assist in Transfer Pricing calculation, annual studies, and compliance
  • Understand Mexico and Canada tax positions as it relates to filing consolidated returns in the US
  • Other tax projects as they arise  

Accounting / Tax Research

  • Research various accounting/tax issues
  • Document findings and present to Accounting Manager for review
  • Lead the new Revenue Recognition, Leasing, and other standards implementation at BBB

External Audit

  • Assist in annual audit of financial statements and providing information and back-up to auditors
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP




Work is performed mostly in a controlled office atmosphere



Adjust as necessary: Sitting 70%, standing/walking 30%. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear.

May require some overtime work to close books of accounts during quarter-end and year-end.

BBB 101

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or business required
  • Six Sigma / Lean experience desired
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business a “plus”
  • CPA, CIA or CMA certification, preferred

Minimum experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ sales accounting and finance experience
  • Audit experience strongly preferred (public accounting or reputable internal audit)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes and analysis to internal customers
  • Experience implementing and leveraging ERP systems
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
  • Knowledge of query, reporting and data analysis tools
  • Prior exposure to maquiladora operations and/or remanufacturing a plus
  • Experience in a private equity environment a plus
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions / organizations
