Our Human Resources team plays a critical role in our company's success. We are currently looking for a Divisional Human Resources Specialist located in San Diego, California. As a business partner, this position will play an integral role and will be responsible in assisting the Divisional Human Resources Manager on employee relations and talent acquisition activities within the division. This individual will demonstrate the ability to apply the principles and practices of human resource management to contribute to the success of O'Reilly Auto Parts. This individual will also facilitate the resolution of significant employment challenges including, but not limited to; investigations, conflict resolution, hiring programs, turnover reduction and agency charges. In addition, the position will focus on recruiting efforts aimed to improve employer brand recognition.

 Required Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field preferred
  • Travel up to 40%
  • Excellent knowledge of human resources management principles, practices and procedures
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations including EEO, FMLA, OSHA, FLSA, etc.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Two or more years of experience, preferably working in a retail store environment
  • Experience in creating, monitoring, enhancing and evaluating recruitment programs
  • Ability to work well and communicate (both written and verbally) with employees at all levels throughout the organization
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong organization skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy and the highest level of discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Good presentation skills to various sized groups
