To be successful in this job, the ideal professional must be task oriented, yet strategic with a strong background in instructional design, learning development, and passionate about creating high-quality online courses and supporting the learning experiences of the team members we serve. The position is also responsible for leading the implementation and support of online programs using instructional technology.  The Sr. Instructional Designer must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as demonstrate the ability to provide feedback to instructional designers on e-learning solution content.

Skills and Qualifications

Instructional design skills for corporate training environment
Content authoring tools
Developing multimedia for training solutions
Project management
Must be self-motivated and have excellent communication and human relations skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy

Adult learning principles and instructional design theories (Blooms Taxonomy, Gagne's Nine Events, and/or similar instructional design theories)
Instructional design models (ADDIE or related)
E-learning standards (AICC, SCORM, etc.)
Multimedia development (Adobe products, Camtasia and/or related)

Design and develop contemporary learning experiences, leveraging the best thinking in engaged/interactive learning and activities, work-embedded scenarios, and simulations
Ability to develop in various training modes and methods (classroom, e-learning, blended, performance support, training manuals, quick reference guides, etc.)
Must have the ability for periodic travel

Experience - 5 years experience in instructional design or related field
Bachelors Degree in a related field (Learning/Education, Instructional Systems Design, Human Performance and Improvement)
