Warehouse Lead

Transamerican Auto Parts/4 Wheel Parts is looking for a Warehouse Lead to join us at our NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTER! The Warehouse Lead will assist the warehouse supervisor in the operations of the distribution center in the areas of receiving, stocking, pulling and packing and shipping of product by performing some or all of the following duties.

The Warehouse Lead will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

This opportunity will be located at our NEW Distribution Center we are opening up in Carlisle, PA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties of Warehouse person level I and II as required;
  • Assists Warehouse supervisor in daily tasks of department functions (Functions as supervisor in his /her absence);
  • Ensures accurate sorting and recording of various types of orders;
  • Assigns and works with warehouse personnel in performing all required warehouse functions such as picking, verifying products against orders, packaging and logging in orders in different shipping systems such as ISIS, UPS, FEDEX, etc;
  • Ensures accuracy of products picked and required methods of shipment. Reports discrepancies or problems to management;
  • Prepares and submits daily status reports to management;
  • Provides work direction to level I and II Warehouse employees;
  • Receives and answers questions from workers pertaining to warehouse activities, processes or equipment operation
  • Monitors and expedites work flow within assigned area of responsibility;
  • Notifies maintenance workers of equipment malfunctions;
  • Maintains product workflow records;
  • Trains workers in equipment operation and warehouse processes and procedures;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no formal supervisory responsibilities, but provides guidance and direction to lower level employees. Provides input to supervisor in regards to performance evaluations and other human resources activities.

Minimum Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a thorough understanding of ISIS Inventory software and Order processing systems;
  • Should also be familiar with spreadsheet, word processing and internet software;

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to operated hand trucks, pallet jacks forklifts, and other manual and mechanical material handling and packaging equipment;

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • MHE certification required;
