Certified Pre-Owned Trainer / Consultant

This position requires 80% travel.

The candidate must be reside in one of the following metro markets:

Detroit, Memphis, Kansas City Metro market areas.

We will also be seeking individuals for Phoenix, Seattle, Denver and Twin Cities markets in May/June of 2010.

The Certified Pre-Owned Trainer/Consultant provides in-dealership training and consulting to personnel at dealerships enrolled in the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury CPO programs. The Trainer/Consultant will put together and assist in the facilitation of a training plan that consists of recommended in-dealership training. They will accomplish this by conducting group and/or one-on-one training sessions with dealership personnel as required.

The Trainer/Consultant will also conduct an overall evaluation of the Used Car Department and present the findings to dealership management. They will accomplish this through observations of dealership practices, interviews with dealership personnel, and analysis of dealership data (as provided by the dealership).

Required skills, qualifications, and work experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of retail automotive management experience (i.e., General Manager, Sales Manager, Used Vehicle Manager, etc.)
Highly knowledgeable of dealership variable operations, especially used vehicles
Good oral and written communication skills
Good presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Computer literacy, experience with Windows and the Web
Time management and scheduling skills
Data and Business Process analysis skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Position requires 80% travel with frequent overnight trips
