Auto Sales Manager Jobs | SUMMARY:

The Director of Sales Operations will cover dealerships in Fort Collins, Greeley and Cheyenne WY, and is the liaison between Ken Garff Automotive Corporate and our dealership network, and shares accountability for the execution of companywide sales strategy related to New and Used Vehicles. The broader role of this position is to understand, train, oversee and track progress related to strategies tied to business goals and objectives. The more specific role includes: Helping GM, GSM, Sales Managers (new & used) and F&I run efficient and profitable departments through productive staffing, inventory management, vehicle disposition, desking training, sales process execution, engaging customer follow up and customer retention strategies.

Auto Sales Manager Jobs | DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Dealer visits in and out of state (limited travel)
  • Execute strategies to support Customer Retention, Business Growth and Profitability
  • Support, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of Sales department staff
  • Execute Sales Training for GSM, Sales Managers and Sales Advisors, including role-play
  • Assist managers in creating, maintaining and executing a training calendar for Sales
  • Understands, teaches and aids in the proper execution of the KG Opportunity Conversion processes including Sales Advisor and Sales Manager customer follow up (for Fresh Up, Phone, Internet, Off-Lease and Service Drive)
  • Analyze Used Vehicle acquisition, inventory, pricing, marketing and sales for effectiveness and compliance
  • Analyze the performance of the Sales departments using: Apps, efficiency and productivity control, manufacturer reports, survey data, CRM reporting and monthly forecasts
  • Inventory Management knowledge and training for managers
  • Participate and train Garff Management Routines, including Garff Management Meetings
  • Ensure Ken Garff Company Standards are in place and properly executed in dealerships
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring of Sales and Sales Management staff as needed
  • Participation and Support of cross-functional team initiatives tied to business goals
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with Factory Programs/P&P, federal, state and local regulations that affect sales operations, such as Non-Public Information protection (Privacy), Red Flags, OFAC, Lenders, etc.
  • Understand factory incentive programs and make recommendations on how to maximize factory programs
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws

Auto Sales Manager Jobs | EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with in-dealership Sales Management or equivalent Sales Management / Manufacturer experience
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and fundamentals of dealership analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree with Business Management emphasis or equivalent work-related experience
  • Proven ability to lead groups of staff and projects
  • Self-Directive – proven ability to accomplish business goals and results
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Reynolds Dealership Management System (and others), internet, Microsoft Office Products

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Light work. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and speak as part of expressing or exchange ideas. The employee utilizes a computer necessitating repetitive motion of wrists, hands and fingers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly in an office environment. The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
