We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic IT Professional to join our Systems Admin Team in providing IT Support services to local and remote employees. In this role, you will be required to travel to different locations across New England, provide IT Support for workstations and printers, software, hardware and network services via phone, email, remote tools and in person to provide timely resolution, document case status, and provide updates to management and end-users. You will be working directly with internal business groups as well as external vendors to remediate issues and escalate as necessary. It is critical in this role to provide excellent customer service throughout the process. Appropriate technology skills for systems & platforms administration, migration, integration and implementation, time management and organizational skills are required as well as ability to work successfully individually and as part of a team. Learning and advancement opportunities are included, evaluation of new technologies and help with the implementation and administration of such technologies. In addition, you will be required to participate in IT projects with assigned project deliverables.

Information Systems Jobs – Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support and guidance through Tier II support and works with and escalate to Level III support to assist in the resolution of Tier III issues of medium to high complexity.
  • Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for all user support and service requests.
  • Responsible for maintaining detailed ticket incidents/requests notes and updates, escalating issues accordingly and keeping a consistent channel of communication open with customer(s) and other IT team members during escalations.
  • Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction of support and service requests.
  • Assists with technical support on core systems troubleshooting locally then escalates to vendors dependent on issue types and requirements.
  • Maintain quality-conscious interface via phone and email with both technical and non-technical clients.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate end user IT equipment, providing technical direction to users and makes recommendations on improved utilization.
  • Maintains and documents workstation application packages, participates in the testing and evaluation of new apps and deployment packages
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization and peers to reach a common goal.
  • Adhere to standard operations, policies and service level standards, ensuring compliance.
  • Continuously assesses service quality and recommend process improvements to management.
  • Functions mostly independently; under general direction of more senior supervisors or managers.
  • Work individually and collaborate with the team to automate repeatable processes.
  • Performing daily system monitoring, and verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems & platforms, key processes and services
  • Reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Working with others on technical issues, handling the responsibility of related follow-ups, and providing timely updates on issues
  • Performing updates, audit and configuration changes of systems and software as well as documenting the configuration of the system
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed documentation of tools & server infrastructure policies and standards
  • Provides technical support remotely but also travels to any Key Auto Group locations as required.
  • Enforcing and following Key Auto Group’s policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Provide support to users and staff to resolve computer related issues (e.g. program problems and malfunctions).
  • Perform system/computer program installations, testing, and overall maintenance & administration.
  • Collaborate with the IT Team to understand client’s computation and information processing needs.
  • Collaborate with management to establish system principles.
  • Responsible for providing automated support tools and technical guidance as necessary.
  • Ability to lift computer related equipment of 50 pounds.
  • A very high level of attention to detail is required.
  • Able and willing to learn new as well as existing technologies.

Information Systems Jobs – Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of Level II User IT Support experience for Workstations/Mobile Devices/Printers and Enterprise Applications.
  • Experience supporting and deploying systems including Microsoft operating systems (installing and updating operating systems, patching), Office suite (configurations and settings for email/onedrive), network applications, and related technologies.
  • Understands the enterprise interrelation of IT components.
  • Experience with W2008/W2012 Server Administration including Active Directory (setting policies, building machines).
  • Experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, research, and evaluation with IT staff and vendors in testing and operational support of complex system hardware and software problems and documentation of solutions.
  • Understands and applies generally accepted information security best practices.
  • Must have excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills, strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange/Office 365 administration.
  • Experience installing software, patches, updates on desktop computers and laptops
  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers and various levels of field & management staff
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively via email and over the phone
  • IT support role requires someone who can work well independently or in a team environment
  • Experience with Remote Administration Tools
  • Experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics and evaluations with IT staff and vendors in testing and operational support of system hardware and software problems and documentation of solutions.
  • A good understanding of LAN and WAN networking, switches and firewalls
  • A willingness to continuously learn new technologies while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with ITSM platforms, ticketing and tracking systems.

Information Systems Jobs – Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
  • Relevant Microsoft or other IT certifications, a major plus.
