IT Manager Job Description

The IT Support Specialist role is to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and assistance where required.

IT Specialist jobs – Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Guide new PC deployment, user set-ups, and printer/phone installations for new hires
  • Troubleshoot and replace failed computing hardware on both desktop PC’s and laptop computers (motherboards, NIC’s, video cards, laptop monitors, laptop keyboards, etc.).
  • Ability to perform hands-on IT implementations and support
  • Networking and software integration of printers, multi-function devices, scanners and other document processing systems
  • Diagnose and repair network issues (Wi-Fi LAN and WAN)
  • Research technical issues and document solutions to user problems in a timely manner
  • Perform actions to correct software or system problems
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents
  • Log, investigate and solve technical issues
  • Install and configure new network devices when necessary
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades on end-user devices as well as IT infrastructure
  • Work closely with end users, and other IT staff
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Proficient in both following and creating documentation
  • Must be an ambitious self-starter who is able to tackle issues independently but able to delegate tasks to others as needed and must have proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision
  • Excellent multi-tasker with a proven track record of successful time management
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced team environment, governed by tight deadlines and accountability to the other members of the team
  • Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Fast learner with a keen aptitude for technology
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs
  • Must be willing to commute to different locations
  • Have proper communication skills
  • Dress appropriately
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekend and some nights for projects

IT Specialist jobs – Considered a plus, but not mandatory, are experience in/with the following:

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in related field
  • IT Certifications
  • 2+ years IT related experience
  • Proficiency with multiple DMS systems including CDK, DealerTrack, DealerBuilt or Reynolds
  • Experience with LAN Layer 3 networking
  • Windows Server environment
  • Experience with GSuite and Office 365
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with VoIP Phone Systems.
