The Parts Driver drives the company designated parts vehicle to pick up and deliver parts in the local area, and to other dealerships as needed. Transports products from local parts sources and delivers them to our dealership.  The Parts Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times, understanding that he/she is representing the Anderson Auto Group while out on the road. The Parts driver is also responsible for stocking incoming merchandise and shipping products. This can be a heavy and repetitive daily task.

Requirements

• High School or GED preferred
• Prior sales or customer service experience preferred.
• General understanding of vehicle operation preferred.
• Parts experience a plus.
• Proficient with computers to research parts and equipment.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift over 75lbs consistently and daily. (This includes but is not limited to heavy tires, batteries, cases of coolant, etc.)

Essential Functions

• Delivers and picks up parts to various locations roughly 50% of the time.
• Performs shipping, receiving and stocking duties as required more than 50% of the time.
• Builds long-term relationships with the customers and vendors.
• Inspects, protects and maintains company assets, merchandise and vehicles.
• Safely operates motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and performs routine maintenance tasks.
• Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road.
• Completes work in a friendly manner, with high energy and the willingness to go above and beyond.
• Demonstrates excellent client and customer satisfaction skills.
• Works as a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and team members.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner, immediately reporting any accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions to management.
• Shows when scheduled to work, on time, ready and able to perform essential job functions. 
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
• Perform other tasks as directed.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This position operates mainly in the parts department, working behind the counter or picking out parts.

• The employee must occasionally lift/ move up to or more than 75 pounds, with or without assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to accommodate the service department working hours. This position regularly requires working evenings, weekends.

Note: Schedules are subject to change.  Two-weeks’ notice of a schedule change will be provided whenever possible.

Travel

May be required to drive from one dealership to another.
