As an Automotive Parts Counterperson, you will play a vital role as an essential member of our parts department team.  You will need to enjoy a team-cooperative environment.  You will need to be organized and detailed with respect to your job duties, including assisting retail, wholesale and internal customers.  You will work together with the other Parts Counter staff members to provide an exceptional experience for our customers and employees.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced counterperson to thrive and grow with a great family-owned dealership.  This is a full-time position.  Work Days will be Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Ms. Proko oversees and manages the daily operations of the dealership and takes great personal pride in knowing that her customers, and employees, are well taken care of.

Responsibilities

  • Performs the duties relating to the sale of Honda parts and accessories.
  • Answers telephones and assists Retail, Wholesale and Internal customers.
  • Utilizes Honda computerized parts catalog system to identify needed parts.
  • Works with outside vendors to procure Honda and aftermarket parts, as necessary.
  • Maintains parts inventory, sales and returns on computerized system.
  • Utilizes computerized system for quoting shop repairs. (MPI)
  • Keeps parts area clean, organized and presentable at all times.
  • Advises Parts Manager of any discrepancies in inventory.
  • Counterperson duties will include assisting Parts Manager and other employees with duties such as:  ordering/acquiring needed parts and communicating status of such with customers, service advisors and technicians.

Qualifications

  • Prior parts experience, required.  Honda experience, preferred.
  • Solid computer experience, a must.  Experience with CDK, a plus.
  • Ability to learn current procedures, computer software and practices.
  • Must be organized and devoted to maintaining an orderly workspace.
  • Fantastic communication skills with your co-workers and customers.
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Willing to authorize a pre-employment drug screen and automotive driving history report.
