Summary

Records financial transactions for the dealership by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties

• Uses documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs and computer printouts to verify, allocate and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in appropriate ledgers or computer files.
• Completes records to trial balance / reconciles monthly statement.
• Reconciles and balances accounts and schedules daily.
• Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss and other items pertinent to operation of business.
• Calculates employee wages from records or time cards and flagsheets.
• Manages Accounts Receivable.
• Receipts in daily bank funding and dealer reserves.
• Receipts in RV & Carwash money.
• Prepares and mails monthly statements to customers.
• Post daily bank contracts and car deals into accounting.
• Assists with accounting of fleet business
• Maintains professional appearance and neat work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• At least three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Dealership experience preferred but not necessarily required.
• CDK experience preferred.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions and percentages, to practical situations.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have authorization to work in the US
• Must be able to proficiently use a 10-key
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, as needed.
• 3 years accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
