Auto Collections Representative – Call Center

MEI Finance is seeking a dedicated Collection Representative to join our corporate office team. This role focuses on contacting delinquent customers to secure past-due payments while delivering exceptional customer service to MEI Finance clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service over the phone, prioritizing first-call resolution to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Oversee, track, and maintain assigned accounts with diligence and accuracy.
  • Foster and nurture strong, positive relationships with customers to support long-term engagement.
  • Skillfully negotiate payment plans for delinquent loans to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Employ effective probing techniques and maintain thorough, accurate documentation for all interactions.
  • Verify and update account demographics to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Achieve collection targets, including delinquency reduction and cash collection goals.
  • Comply with company policies and state/federal regulations to uphold legal and ethical standards.
  • Work at a desk, utilizing phone and computer systems to manage tasks efficiently.
  • Operate office equipment and software proficiently to support daily operations.
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods to perform role responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in collections, preferably in auto collections, required.
  • Two years’ experience in a high-paced administrative or clerical role.
  • Two years’ proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Exceptional time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changes, and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Thrives in both independent and collaborative team settings, fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in all tasks and documentation.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adept at communicating effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
  • Handles sensitive information with utmost integrity and confidentiality.
  • Goal-driven, consistently meeting daily, weekly, and monthly individual and departmental objectives.
  • Thorough understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and its applications.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills for clear and professional interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Robust multitasking abilities, maintaining performance under high-pressure conditions.
  • Receptive to feedback, with a strong ability to implement constructive guidance effectively.

Schedule:

  • On-Site/Arlington, TX
  • Full-Time
  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday & Every Other Saturday

Compensation: $17.00 per hour, plus weekly cash incentives.
