Job Description: Automotive Dealership Internet & Social Media Specialist

The Automotive Dealership Internet & Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the dealership’s online presence and digital marketing strategies. This role involves utilizing various social media platforms, website management tools, and online advertising solutions to enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and increase customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute social media strategies to promote the dealership’s products, services, and events across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  2. Create and curate engaging content, including text, image, and video posts, to build and maintain a strong online presence for the dealership.
  3. Respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement digital advertising campaigns that reach target audiences and drive traffic to the dealership’s website or physical location.
  5. Monitor social media and online review platforms to address customer complaints, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a positive online reputation.
  6. Generate regular reports and analyze data on social media and website performance using analytics tools, identify key trends, and recommend strategies for optimizing digital efforts.
  7. Stay updated with industry trends, changes in social media algorithms, and emerging technologies to recommend new opportunities for the dealership’s digital presence.
  8. Optimize the dealership’s website for search engines (SEO) by creating and managing relevant content, optimizing site structure, and monitoring website traffic.
  9. Coordinate with internal departments, including sales, service, and management, to obtain timely information and content for online marketing purposes.
  10. Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and partners to execute targeted digital marketing initiatives, such as email marketing, online advertising, and influencer partnerships.
  11. Assist with the creation and execution of customer loyalty programs and lead generation campaigns through online channels.
  12. Ensure compliance with dealer group branding guidelines and legal requirements in all online communications and promotions.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  2. Proven experience in managing social media platforms, implementing digital marketing strategies, and optimizing website performance preferably in the automotive industry.
  3. In-depth knowledge of social media trends, best practices, and platform-specific strategies for a variety of demographics.
  4. Proficiency in using social media management platforms, content creation tools, and digital marketing analytics tools
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  6. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Problem-solving skills and adaptability to manage changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  9. Familiarity with automotive sales and services concepts and terminology is a plus.
  10. Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and relevant website management tools like WordPress or similar platforms.
