Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire parts sales process from initiation to completion.
Engage with staff and customers cordially and professionally. - Discuss customer parts status with clarity and efficiency.
- Consult and comprehend the parts catalog for accurate information on specific parts.
- Respond to phone calls, offer price quotes, and furnish customers with necessary details.
- Examine body shop estimates to ensure the accuracy of ordered parts and the alignment of pricing with the estimate.
- Provide high-level service to both internal and external customers
- Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
- Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, along with previous experience in auto parts sales (preferred), is required.
- Candidates should be keen to advance in a dynamic work setting and possess robust interpersonal and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety and maintenance documents, as well as calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, is essential.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is also necessary.
