Position Overview
As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every customer. You’ll work alongside a knowledgeable team in a well-equipped shop, with opportunities for training and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine vehicles and accurately diagnose mechanical issues
- Communicate repair needs with the shop foreman and service advisor
- Estimate labor time and discuss additional service requirements
- Complete thorough documentation and repair stories for each job
- Mentor technician trainees and attend factory and company training
- Stay current with technical bulletins and manufacturer updates
- Follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety and environmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to maintain professionalism and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Valid Operator Driver’s License
- Valid State Inspection License
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including Saturdays if required
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing physical shop work
- Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.
