Starr Motors is seeking a full-time Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Suffolk, VA. Candidates must be skilled in auto maintenance, have strong attention to detail, and possess a commitment to quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently complete tasks outlined on repair orders, adhering to Starr Motors’ dealership standards.
  • Conduct test drives and utilize advanced diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to evaluate vehicle systems and components.
  • Diagnose, service, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the Service Advisor to notify customers of additional service needs, providing accurate time estimates for further repairs.
  • Perform warranty repairs with precision, strictly following manufacturer specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as an Automotive Technician, demonstrating proficiency in vehicle repair.
  • Comprehensive expertise in all areas of automotive repair and maintenance, ensuring high-quality service.
  • Quick to grasp new techniques and adapt to evolving automotive technologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective customer and team interactions.
  • Superior customer service abilities, fostering positive client experiences and satisfaction.
  • Collaborative team player, contributing to a cohesive and efficient work environment.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including automotive software and diagnostic systems.
  • Skilled in operating electronic diagnostic equipment to accurately troubleshoot vehicle issues.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
