Service Technician Responsibilities

• Carry out the tasks specified on the repair order efficiently and in line with dealership policies.
• Test-drive vehicles and assess components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
• Diagnose, service, and repair various automotive systems such as the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Engage directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed about any additional services required and offer an estimated time for any extra repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an automotive dealership is essential, as is a solid grasp of the service drive.
• Experience requirements may vary depending on the position.
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is necessary.
