Fort Collins Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, in conjunction with our Truck and Fleet Center, is currently seeking experienced Mechanics and Diesel Technicians for immediate hire. These full-time roles are available for highly skilled professionals.

As a family-owned and operated local dealership, we operate three facilities within Fort Collins. Our broad market reach spans from Wyoming to Longmont, CO, and stretches east beyond Greeley, CO. Given the high volume of vehicles requiring service, we offer some of the most competitive compensation packages in Northern Colorado.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our technicians are responsible for understanding and performing intricate tasks vital to the repair and maintenance of customer vehicles. Applicants must have a passionate interest in the automotive industry, extensive knowledge of specific manufacturers (RAM, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, ProMaster vans), and possess all necessary manufacturer certifications. These certifications should cover a range of areas including engine mechanics, engine control systems, hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, suspension, as well as heating, air conditioning, instruments, and gauges.

  • Perform tasks as detailed in repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisors about necessary repairs and if additional work is needed or cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
  • Inspect assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Utilize our multi-point inspection form accurately for each vehicle.
  • Record all work performed and recommended on the repair orders assigned.
  • When necessary and practical, conduct road tests to identify needed work and to verify successful completion.
  • Achieve targeted goals by completing the work, annotations, and time management required for the successful completion of warranty repair orders and warranty claim submissions.
  • Contribute to the training and development of novice team members/technicians in the shop and support fellow technicians with vehicle diagnostics.
  • Ensure understanding and completion of necessary training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-To-Know.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Preference is given to candidates with manufacturer certifications.
  • An Automotive Technical or Trade School Degree is also preferred.
  • Applicants must be willing to work a minimum of 45-50 hours per week and possess the basic tools necessary to service our product line.
  • ASE certifications in specialized areas like brakes, electronic systems, and engine performance are advantageous.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
