As an independently contracted pre-purchase vehicle inspector you will be responsible for conducting technical motor vehicle assessment reports as well as test driving inspected vehicles.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactive communication with the vehicle seller to confirm details of prescheduled availability, location, and time of inspection.
  • Prompt arrival to accepted inspection appointments.
  • Perform internal, external, and mechanical inspections with accurate documentation of inspection findings.
  • Safely and responsibility test driving inspected vehicles in an attempt to accurately access the vehicles present condition.

Pre-purchase Vehicle Inspectors must also adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the independent contractor agreement.https://inspexperts.net/contract/

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A valid, clean driver’s license, or the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license within 30 days of hire date.
  • ASE Certification
  • Must possess a vast knowledge base and understanding of mechanical, under the hood, under carriage assemblies, and interior features and functionality of early and late model Automobiles, Motorcycles, and or Recreational Vehicles.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

As a Pre-purchase Vehicle Inspector, you will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.

Pre-purchase Vehicle Inspectors must be able to meet the following physical requirements:

  • Stand up to two hours at a time, bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly and must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Hear, read, speak, type, and write (in English).
  • Vision sufficient enough to detect color, depth, as well as the ability to re-focus.
