RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment to promote equipment durability and workplace safety.
  • Stay informed on the latest automotive repair industry best practices to deliver high-quality service.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to meet Virginia’s emissions and safety standards with accuracy.
  • Conduct repairs and test-drive vehicles to confirm operational reliability and performance.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, A/C recharges, front-end alignments, battery replacements, and headlight/taillight installations, with precision.
  • Complete repair order tasks efficiently, adhering to Starr Motors’ dealership standards.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to test vehicle components and systems for optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs, providing clear time estimates for further repairs.
  • Perform warranty repairs in strict compliance with manufacturer specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Virginia State Inspector, ensuring compliance with state standards.
  • Comprehensive expertise in all facets of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for clear interactions with customers and team members.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, fostering positive client experiences.
  • Collaborative team player, contributing to a cohesive and productive work environment.
  • Proficient in computer operations, including automotive software and systems.
  • Skilled in operating electronic diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle issues.
  • Holds a valid Virginia State Inspector’s license.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
