Responsibilities:

  • Process registrations for new and used vehicles in compliance with applicable state titling requirements.
  • Prepare and verify tax and title documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Submit legal transfer paperwork to the Department of Motor Vehicles promptly and correctly.
  • Implement a system to validate out-of-state titles, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date record of all pending title work for efficient tracking.
  • Sign over titles to wholesalers upon confirmation of full payment.
  • Stay current on title regulations by attending local licensing bureau seminars and relevant training sessions.
  • Uphold a polished professional appearance and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits with precision to support financial operations.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, communicating with callers in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Manage collection letters and garnishment documents, filing with the courthouse as required.
  • Reconcile weekly and monthly accounting reports to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Issue payoff checks for trade-in vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for additional office tasks to enhance overall productivity.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a DMV or title clerk role is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, adept at engaging customers and colleagues in one-on-one settings.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in computer operations and capable of quickly mastering company-specific software.
