Responsibilities and Qualifications:

The primary responsibility of the Finance & Insurance Manager is to oversee the financial transactions involved in the vehicle purchasing process for each customer at the dealership. This role involves working with lenders to secure bank approvals for car purchases, generating the necessary financial documentation, and advising the staff on DMV regulations.

  • Work closely with the sales team and customers to facilitate the financial aspects of the car buying process.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers to generate a referral network.
  • Provide consultation and sell finance and insurance warranties.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of paperwork for title work and funding from finance sources.
  • Meet monthly goals and deadlines for submitting customer paperwork to lenders and accounting.
  • Safeguard and manage customer funds during transactions and ensure proper accounting.
  • Comply with all local and national regulations, keeping the sales team informed of new and amended state vehicle purchase laws.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to offer extended warranties to customers.
  • Maintain and nurture customer relationships.
  • Uphold an excellent reputation with lenders and vendors.
  • Deliver effective finance and insurance menu presentations to explain warranty options.
  • Support sales professionals in discussing financing options and warranties with customers.
  • Cultivate relationships with representatives from local and national banks and manufacturers, meeting with them regularly.
  • Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
  • Be detail-oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be a strategic thinker, always seeking solutions for customers.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and teamwork.
  • Understand DMV tag and title laws.
  • Have 1-3 years of experience as an automotive sales consultant.
  • Have a history of excellent customer service ratings.
  • Pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and MVR.
