Join the Collision Repair Team at Lakewood Auto Body

Lakewood Auto Body Group LLC is seeking an experienced technician for this Automotive Frame Technician job for collision and structural repair, one of the more demanding automotive frame technician jobs in Lakewood, Washington. Having served the South Puget Sound community since 1962, Lakewood Auto Body has built its reputation on quality collision repairs, professional workmanship, and customer service, and as a locally owned, family operated collision repair facility, we understand the importance of safe, accurate structural repairs that restore damaged vehicles to manufacturer specifications. The role specializes in vehicle structural repairs, frame straightening, and collision damage restoration, covering both frame and unibody repairs on a steady flow of insurance and customer work. The technician sets up the vehicle on the frame machine, interprets data from computerized and conventional measuring systems, and pulls the structure back to factory tolerance, then confirms the result with a final measurement report. The technician also makes repair versus replacement recommendations based on the damage analysis and published procedures, and performs structural welding to manufacturer specifications, with a current I CAR welding certification required. Working with high strength steel calls for strict adherence to approved heat, joining, and corrosion protection procedures, since a shortcut here can compromise how the vehicle protects its occupants in the next collision.

This position requires more than general bodywork experience, and in real hiring situations the shop manager looks for a technician who understands structural integrity, can document each step, and keeps repairs moving toward their delivery date. Experienced frame straightening technician jobs veterans and body technicians who have spent years on the frame rack are the strongest fits. The position draws applicants from Lakewood, Tacoma, University Place, Steilacoom, Parkland, Spanaway, and Puyallup, and it is part of the broader market of the Pacific Northwest and automotive careers across the United States. It can be found alongside other openings on an automotive only job board, where every job seeker is there for an automotive career and every applicant’s information goes directly to the employer’s hiring authority.

If you take pride in performing precise structural repairs and have experience working with modern collision repair equipment, we’d like to hear from you.
