Lum’s Auto Center in Warrenton, Oregon, is hiring a full-time UVI / Accessories Technician to recondition used vehicle inventory and install suspension systems, wheels, tires, and approved aftermarket accessories for automotive UVI technician jobs Warrenton OR and accessories technician Lum’s Auto Center.
This role prepares vehicles for retail sale and customer delivery through inspections, mechanical repairs, reconditioning, and accessory installations. As a used vehicle inventory reconditioning Oregon, lift leveling kit suspension installer, or wheels tires accessories technician Warrenton, you’ll complete lift and leveling kit work, mount and balance tires, install aftermarket steps, racks, and lighting, and perform alignment and calibration so units are retail-ready.
ASE certification is preferred for this ASE preferred UVI technician Warrenton and alignment calibration UVI technician position. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Used Vehicle Inventory (UVI) inspections and reconditioning
- Diagnose and complete approved mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacement identified during UVI
- Identify safety, mechanical, fitment, and condition issues before a vehicle is retail-ready
- Install lifts, leveling kits, suspension components, tires, wheels, and related accessories
- Install approved accessories such as steps, racks, lighting, and performance upgrades
- Perform alignments, calibrations, and post-repair or post-installation inspections
- Follow OEM and accessory manufacturer specifications, repair procedures, torque requirements, and safety standards
- Diagnose, correct, and document mechanical, fitment, installation, or reconditioning issues
- Accurately record labor time, parts used, and work performed
- Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Sales, Used Vehicle Management, and Parts to meet inventory and delivery timelines
- Ensure reconditioned vehicles meet dealership mechanical, safety, quality, and retail-readiness standards
- Ensure completed work is documented and vehicles are road-ready before release
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Automotive technician experience required
- Experience with suspension, lifts, tires, wheels, or aftermarket accessories strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and installation documentation
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy components
- ASE certifications preferred but not required
- Quality-focused workmanship, strong problem-solving skills, effective time management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude and pride in craftsmanship
Compensation & Schedule:
- $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, flat-rate pay, depending on certification and skill level
- Eligible for technician pay progression and internal advancement
- Full-time, day shift, Sundays off
