Lake Motor Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Reconditioning Technician to work on dealership-owned inventory for automotive technician jobs Griffith IN and reconditioning technician Lake Motor Group.

This role is ideal for a technician who can independently handle common mechanical repairs and wants guaranteed hourly pay without flat-rate pressure or retail customers. As a dealership inventory technician Indiana, used car reconditioning mechanic Lake County, or scanner diagnostics reconditioning tech, you’ll perform brakes, suspension, cooling system, and diagnostic work on used vehicles — including European models — to get inventory retail-ready.

We’re looking for an independent mechanical repair technician Indiana or experienced diagnostic technician Griffith who can work efficiently with a scanner and complete repairs without constant supervision. This Monday-to-Friday opportunity offers stable hourly rate automotive technician openings and strong long-term potential through brakes suspension cooling system technician, Monday to Friday technician schedule Griffith, European vehicle mechanic, Northwest Indiana automotive technician jobs, and Hammond Merrillville automotive technician roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Brake and suspension repairs
• Wheel bearing service
• Cooling system repairs
• Starter and alternator replacement
• Oil and fluid leak repairs
• Routine maintenance and tune-ups
• General mechanical repairs

• Scanner-based diagnostics
• Vehicle inspections and reconditioning

What We’re Looking For:

• Professional automotive repair experience
• Ability to perform common repairs independently
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience using diagnostic scanners
• Ability to work without constant supervision
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience with used-car reconditioning, European vehicles, and ASE certifications is a plus

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday: Optional, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed
