Automotive Parts Manager, McMinnville, OR
Automotive Parts Manager Jobs Oregon | Lum’s Chevrolet GMC (McMinnville, OR)
Lum’s Chevrolet GMC
830 NE Highway 99W
McMinnville, OR 97128
Lum’s Chevrolet GMC wants an experienced, results-driven Parts Manager to take ownership of the dealership’s parts department, and this Automotive Parts Manager job is one of the more substantial automotive parts manager jobs in McMinnville, Oregon. The role is judged on seven things: people, profit, inventory, speed and accuracy, growth, customers, and standards, which means the manager is accountable for the whole department, not just the shelves. Day to day, that covers purchasing, stocking, returns, obsolescence, and inventory accuracy, so the right parts are on hand for the service drive and the body shop without tying up cash in slow movers. The manager also drives wholesale and retail sales at appropriate margins, building relationships with local repair shops and counter customers while keeping gross profit healthy. Compensation is base pay plus commission, with a benefits package that includes the dealership paying 90% of the employee only premium, a Holiday Savings Plan and Employee Demo Program, and a culture built around Cars. Kindness. Community.
In real hiring situations, the general manager and fixed operations director look for a leader who can coach a parts counter team, hold the department to clean standards, and use dealership management systems and parts inventory tools to track fill rate, aging, and special orders. General Motors dealership parts experience is strongly preferred, since familiarity with GM ordering, returns, and stocking programs shortens the learning curve, though a proven parts leader from another franchise will get serious consideration. The position draws applicants from Yamhill County and the Willamette Valley, and it is part of the broader market of the Pacific Northwest and automotive careers across the United States. It can be found alongside other openings on an automotive only job board, where every job seeker is there for an automotive career and every applicant’s information goes directly to the employer’s hiring authority.
