Locomotion Automatic Transmissions is seeking an experienced, efficient Transmission Remove-and-Replace Technician for our high-volume shop in Arlington, TX. Relocation assistance is available for automotive R and R transmission technician Arlington TX and Locomotion Automatic Transmissions technician roles.

As a remove and replace transmission technician Texas, transfer case differential torque converter tech, or high volume transmission shop Arlingtonprofessional, you’ll R&R transmissions, transfer cases, differentials, and torque converters on cars, trucks, and SUVs while keeping units moving efficiently through the shop.

Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of transmission R&R experience and their own tools. The right candidate has strong mechanical skills, hands-on experience removing and reinstalling automatic transmissions, and a focus on productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently remove and reinstall automatic transmissions on cars, trucks, and SUVs
• Remove and install related drivetrain components, including transfer cases, differentials, torque converters, and drive shafts
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components related to the transmission system
• Work closely with the builder/transmission manager to ensure accuracy and timely turnaround
• Keep the assigned work area and stall clean, safe, and organized

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–3 years of proven hands-on experience as a transmission R&R technician or general automotive repair technician
• Complete personal set of hand, pneumatic, and power tools suitable for automotive repair
• Willingness to relocate to Arlington, TX
• Shop provides heavy equipment, transmission jacks, and specialized equipment

Compensation & Schedule:

• $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
• Hourly or flat-rate pay, depending on experience
• Additional compensation opportunities available
• Estimated annual earnings of $60,000 to $75,000 or more
• Full-time, 40–50 hours per week
• Ongoing technical development in a high-volume transmission shop
• Relocation assistance offered
